Brief
This project has a horizontal layout with a story that highlights one or more of the following elements: colour, tonal values,
shape, form, texture, and pattern. Photography is used to curate a narrative as a "concept." Both fashion and documentary photosare used in the layouts. The goal of this project is to take pictures of visually arresting scenes with the intention of telling

Rationale
This project began with a focus on exploration within the realm of documentary photography. A keen exploration of what
couldbe found within the local area that spoke to the elements of texture, shape, and pattern. Once the documentary images were selected and finalised, a curation of fashion photography images were created to best compliment and create narrative
to the piece.

Documentary photography rationale
The majority of the documentary shots were taken in and around the University of Pretoria. The approach followed to create striking compositions, found a natural inclination to the repetition of shape found within everyday life as well as a strong sense
of shape and form.

Fashion photography rationale
To curate compatible fashion photography images, the elements of repetition of shape, form and texture were explore through five separate shoots. This allowed for a multitude of avenues to be explore as well as plenty of leeway in capturing 'the perfect shot'. These shoots included two models as well as some self portraits at four separate location.

After a rigorous selection process, the final composition was selected for it's interesting play on form and repetition of shape.

After editing the final selection in black and white, it was noted that the original colours of the photos curated neatly together into one cohesive narrative. Finally with connecting strings of form, repetition of shape, and a muted creamy colour pallet - the final curation is completed.
